COCKROACHES THRIVE IN
GREASY DRAIN PIPES

Cockroaches Thrive in Greasy Drain Pipes

Medical research has shown that cockroaches can carry over 100 different types of pathogens such as V. cholerae, S. typhi, and E. coli. The spread of these pathogens can lead to food poisoning and disease including hepatitis and pneumonia.  When cockroaches die, they decompose and form particulate matter that can become airborne. Inhalation of these particles can produce allergic reactions with clinical symptoms of cough, chest pain and asthma.

The dim and moist environment inside kitchen drain pipes are attractive environments for cockroaches to live in and thrive. Pesticides can only go so far in killing the ones that crawl out of the pipes, and does little to eliminate the source of the problem. Removing the cockroaches food source inside the kitchen drain pipes through regular degreasing and protein removal effectively lowers their chances for continued survival in your home.
